Brightspace Clinic (Seats available for faculty and staff.)

This 60-minute online Brightspace session has no fixed agenda, but is designed to provide you with an opportunity to ask questions—and get answers—about particular issues you may encounter with Brightspace. The "clinic" session is designed to answer questions from faculty who've already attended Brightspace training.

Accessibitlity Day (Seats available for faculty and staff.)

This full day of events is engineered to provide our campus a crash course into ADA compliance and how to convert and create accessible course materials that meet the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act Title II requirements. The day’s lineup is geared to provide faculty and staff with the necessary knowledge and tools to develop and maintain accessible course materials for the Spring 2026 semester and beyond. Refreshments will be available.

Brightspace: Teaching with Brightspace (4 days) (Seats available for faculty and staff.)

This four-day online workshop covers all aspects of teaching in Brightspace. Three hours each day will be spent in Zoom sessions covering the tools available to you in Brightspace, and an estimated four hours each day will be spent in Brightspace itself, completing readings, watching videos, completing written assignments, and participating in forums. Following the successful completion of the workshop, attendees will be certified to teach fully online and remote courses at SUNY Plattsburgh.
Note: The Zoom sessions will run from 9:00am through 12:00 each day. Zoom session details and directions for accessing the Brightspace workshop site will be emailed to participants the day before the workshop begins.
